Creation Background

When Luo Binwang was a child, he lived in a small village north of Yiwu County. Outside the village was a pond called Luojia Pond.

One day, a guest visited his home and, as they walked together to Luojia Pond, the guest pointed at the geese in the pond and challenged Luo Binwang to compose a poem about them. After a brief moment of contemplation, Luo Binwang created this poem.
